Holly Black did it again with her unexpected twist! Cardan and the rest of the faerie is clever with their words, carefully twisting it just to be revealed as a plot twist a few chapters later :')  All of the sudden the cover and illustrations within the book make sense. The final battle between Jude's team and Madoc's feels rushed, the tension between them has been going on for two and a half books yet it only took a chapter for one of them to be a winner. It feels less satisfying as I expected it to be, but it still enjoyable. Overall, I give this book 4.25 out of 5 stars.
