An end to a trilogy?
By: A. Budi
Started with Gun Germ and Steel and bridged by collapse, now Diamond turns his attention to what makes some nation able to adapt and others don’t? Rather than relying on his earlier theory of geographical determinism, diamond argues that nation that can adapt its national characteristic can bounce back from crises and is thus not constrained by geography but rather some intangible social factors, like leadership or national unity. But as always,a fun read from Diamond.
