I DNF-ed the book on 30% mark because in my opinion, this book didn't know what it wanted. It could have been my fault too since I expected something more from Home Fire. It could be a deep romance involving two sides of jihadi, it could be a serious drama of a family who's affected by the jihad movement, it could be a heartwarming story about siblings with different religious views. It was not all three and I don't know what to make of it.

The characters were not likeable, the plot moved too fast, and multiple POVs didn't work for me.

I have to give a credit to the first chapter that gripped me and made me want to buy the book tho. Sadly it went nowhere.
