#1 New York Times Best Seller!

Eleanor & Park reminded me not just what it's like to be young and in love with a girl, but also what it's like to be young and in love with a book.-John Green, The New York Times Book Review

Bono met his wife in high school, Park says.
So did Jerry Lee Lewis, Eleanor answers.
I'm not kidding, he says.
You should be, she says, we're 16.
What about Romeo and Juliet?
Shallow, confused, then dead.

I love you, Park says.
Wherefore art thou, Eleanor answers.
I'm not kidding, he says.
You should be.

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits-smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you'll remember your own first love-and just how hard it pulled you under.

Good Romance!
By: Devi Miranda

I like this book very much. The way Rowell describe high school romance, first romance, with each other having their own problem at home is just so good and real. The last part took me by surprise! Definitely worth a read.

Loved the book but didn't like the ending
By: Yoshiko

First of all, I don't regret reading Eleanor & Park, but at the same time I don't get the hype at all. I mean I can sort of understand why others loved it, it just wasn't my cup of tea. While this book made me smile and laugh at parts, and the ending made me tear up a tiny bit (though that could be from frustration more than anything), I didn't get the... emotional overload, the butterflies and the 'awww this is such a cute love story' feelings I was expecting. The expectations were simply too high and sadly the book didn't deliver. I feel like there should be a second book.

A great contemporary romance story
By: Vania Desmonda
First of all, don't you just love the cover in its simplicity?   Set in 1986, Eleanor and Park are two high school misfits. Park, the only Asian student at his school, and Eleanor, nicknamed the 'Big Red' because of her red hair and her physique. Their first encounter was in the school bus. Park wasn't very nice to her at first, but he slowly learns to look beyond people's imperfections to see others in a different perspective.   I love Eleanor and Park's relationship. From how Eleanor sheepishly looks over Park's shoulder to read his comic books, to how Park has transformed Eleanor into a new person in a positive... See More
direction.   The romance in this book is not all rainbows and puppies, but it has some real and serious issues as well, like domestic abuse and bullying. Their relationship is genuine and captures vulnerability really well.   Although the ending is not quite satisfactory, the story is still amazing and the writing style is enjoyable.
