Not as epic as Kite Runner, but I still feel his heart in this book. Very thoughtfull writing. Even with new characters. Maybe I have connections with the character from his previous book, so somehow the new characters are feel like stranger. But it’s still good. Worth the read

Got mixed-feelings while reading this one.And the Mountains Echoed still has that Hosseini-esque--tear jerking, and love that Pakistani setting/culture he always brought up. The story itself is good, I don't mind with his writing style here--with multiple POVs. But there are times when I lost my interest to continue because I feel disconected with some characters.

It's still a good book, thoug. But not as good as I expected

My first Hosseini book, and I really love it. Written from nine different points of view, the book told the story of a family that got separated due to their economic condition during the war in Afghanistan. It was told from nine different points of view of the characters, whose lives intersected with one another.

The way Hosseini described the beauty of Afghanistan is one of my favorite parts
