Description

Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this multi-million-copy New York Times bestseller is the definitive manual for anyone interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control - from the author of The Laws of Human Nature.

In the book that People magazine proclaimed "beguiling" and "fascinating," Robert Greene and Joost Elffers have distilled three thousand years of the history of power into 48 essential laws by drawing from the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, and Carl Von Clausewitz and also from the lives of figures ranging from Henry Kissinger to P.T. Barnum.

Some laws teach the need for prudence ("Law 1: Never Outshine the Master"), others teach the value of confidence ("Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness"), and many recommend absolute self-preservation ("Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally"). Every law, though, has one thing in common: an interest in total domination. In a bold and arresting two-color package, The 48 Laws of Power is ideal whether your aim is conquest, self-defense, or simply to understand the rules of the game.

This book exactly deliver what the Title is : How to obtain Power among your surrounding, either in career, family, relationship, and beyond all that. How we perceive the people, how they would behave, and control them, This book is enchanting, powerful, and brutally honest. It goes to your mind and make you question the meaning of your existence and true objective for life. There is no book like this out there anymore, and maybe never will.

Different perspective on how to influence people & take the top seat
By: Ganda Rakhman

These "laws" may sound devilish, but they'd better be considered as lessons-to-be-aware-of in perilous social life. It is coming from the most brutal & bitter insight on human psychology. Some laws may be seems contradictive, but we can still put them in different context. I find it interesting that a lot of reviewers in other site called the laws in this book as "evil", when really it's just taking everyone back to the roots of human instinct. Everyone can definitely benefit having it read for its historical lessons that are taken with the worst interpretation. Use these laws for good, then it would be good for you and everyone.
