This is my first Osamu Dazai book, and I'm dazzled. The coming of age story of a girl who troubled by her sense of understanding herself and her vision of the world. The way main characters think which reflecting Dazai's personality conveyed perfectly is he main reason why I love this book, the outlook of the main character which utterly similar with mine and definitely... See More I could relate. My favorite part from the book is ;
"They scolded us for no having any real hopes or ambitions, but if we were to pursue our true ideals, would these people watch and guide us along the way?"
As she keep on seeking for purpose, just like any other current girl in crisis of how they should face their life. Dazai won't give you any answer, but the way this story told would enough to give you some enlightenment. So what I can conclude from the story is, 'all her wanna get is to be loved and to be able to love.' A simple wish which she never tell until the end of the story.
