After reading a summary of this novel, I thought that Wuthering Heights is an ordinary story about love, heartbreak and revenge, from a third person point of view. However, it turns out Emily Bronte presented this story in the form of a mysterious flashback through first person point of view, who interacted intimately with Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw for years.
The story intrigues the readers from the beginning. Who is Heathcliff? What happened to Catherine Earnshaw? Are Catherine Earnshaw, Catherine Linton and Catherine Heathcliff the same people? What would happen to that evil-hearted Heathcliff? What was the fate of Earnshaw's and Linton's family who were targeted by Heathcliff's revenge? These questions attract readers to keep up until the end of the story.
