This is the first time I read Jane Austen's work. A very good writing and story in my opinion. A masterpiece that survives through the test of time.
Introduction and Notes by Dr Ian Littlewood, University of Sussex.
Pride and Prejudice, which opens with one of the most famous sentences in English Literature, is an ironic novel of manners. In it the garrulous and empty-headed Mrs Bennet has only one aim - that of finding a good match for each of her five daughters. In this she is mocked by her cynical and indolent husband.
With its wit, its social precision and, above all, its irresistible heroine, Pride and Prejudice has proved one of the most enduringly popular novels in the English language.

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice shows feminist at its best. The story circles around five daugthers of the Bennet and their love lives. All of the Bennets have their own problems and the one that really stands out is Elizabeth bennet and Mr. Darcy.
One of the timeless novels and best works that can be enjoyed over and over again, rven after two centuries and still be the best after more generations
