The complex origins of a Man of Power and a Goblin on a Fork, forged against the background of WWII and the Cold War. Their lives in Nigeria, Gambia, Ethiopia (the Danakil Desert), Afghanistan, Yemen, Lesotho and Iran and the gifts bestowed on their children, the intertwined stories of historical families of Anglo-Saxon England, Bohemia, Lithuania, Poland, Rus (Kiev, Novgorod, Minsk, Muscovy) and Scandinavia.

On 10 September 2020 the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature (Государственный музей истории белорусской литературы) in Minsk opened the Kostrovitsky literary and documentary exposition, timed to coincide with the 140th anniversary of the birth of Apollinaire, poet, dramatist and author. The National Historical Archives of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art, the National Library of Belarus, the Republican Centre of National Culture and the Predmestie Gallery took part in the creation of the exposition. This book, together with the titles "The Flight of Eagles" and "Poetry in the blood" by this author were featured in this exposition.
