Bought this one as a birthday present and definitely not a disappointment! Reading The Bear and The Nightingale was reminding me of how much I love reading. This book telling you how beautiful Russian folklore and yet magically terrifying. The book is so intense and I couldn't put it down. Definitely my favorite reading this year!

One of my favorite books of all time, The Bear and the Nightingale is beautiful and haunting. Katherine Arden creates a powerful Russian-folktale-inspired story with strong and compelling characters. The protagonist, Vasya, is such a strong free-spirited girl I couldn't help but be charmed by her. The plot itself is both magical and intense I couldn't put this one down.
