Between 4−5 stars rating, 14 March 2014 An Emotional Love Story with Second Chances

"This is a love story. But it's not what you think. This is not a first kiss, or a first date. This is not love at first sight. This is a boy and a girl falling in messy, unpredictable, thrilling love."
With reading that quote, I bought this book when Periplus had Valentine Promo discount for romance books. To be honest, I never heard of Katie Cotugno before reading this book (found out later this is her debut novel). So it is really a delight for me to say, I'm very glad I bought this book because I love it. How To Love is quite different. The way Katie tells the story is very interesting to me. But it's subtly hitting close to home. To real and daily life. Reading this book for me made me feel like I'm reading a friend story, not a fiction book. It's so honest and yet so captivating. I can't help wanting to hug or scold or comfort or even cheer for Reena Montero and Sawyer LeGrande when they are happy or sad. It's like you can easily be their bestfriend inside the book.
So, maybe the story is not something new. But sometimes the way a certain author tells the story can really get you emotionally involved. This happened with this book for me. I really recommend this for anyone who looks for another version of real life kind of romance.
