Description

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - The book that sparked a revolution and inspired the hit Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo the original guide to decluttering your home once and for all.

ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL BOOKS OF THE DECADE--CNN

Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?

Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you'll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever. The KonMari Method, with its revolutionary category-by-category system, leads to lasting results. In fact, none of Kondo's clients have lapsed (and she still has a three-month waiting list).

With detailed guidance for determining which items in your house "spark joy" (and which don't), this international bestseller will help you clear your clutter and enjoy the unique magic of a tidy home--and the calm, motivated mindset it can inspire.

not for everyone
By: Nadia Karina

I, myself, need a little bit of clutter in my house. that clutter makes my house a home. I love tidying things up and organizing things, but not as extreme as Kondo. I'm a book hoarder, I have piles of books everywhere , so I don't agree with this book. But I believe this book can help the people who needs decluttering. It's just not for me.

Meet the Book that Changed My Life
By: Diah

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up is not joking around. It made me turn my life 180' and I barely have what I call clutters nowadays. So many people might mistaken the book and what's inside as minimalism when it isn't. It's not maximalism either. It's called 'cleaning up your life with what sparks joy'. After I tried the method, I've never looked back again.

Truly recommended.

Does this spark joy?
By: Eviana Misty

“The best way to choose what to keep and what to throw away is to take each item in one’s hand and ask: “Does this spark joy?” If it does, keep it. If not, dispose of it"

Although many praise and critique for this book, I still consider this as a helpful book for me. I spent two days to tidy-up my goods and still learning to do it better. Some people doesn't like this book because it's sounds ridiculous and can't relate with Japanese's culture and value. Even, I don't agree with all lessons shared on this book. But, still I gain much to value and appreciate things. We must pay more attention to out belongings and tidy-up our room also our mind.
