Simply to save their life, Alexander Karpenko and his mother fled from their hometown in Leningrad, Russia to two choices of destination countries, Great Britain or the United States. In this story, Alexander lived the two life paths, as Sasha in Great Britain and Alex in the United States. The story goes alternately between Sasha and Alex.
