I agree with other reviewers who refer to this book as the literary equivalent of black tar heroin. I couldn't put this book down, even though I probably should have. I enjoyed the book but I'm not sure why. I liked the main female character (not really) even though I thought she displayed the intellectual capacity of mentally challenged rock in a lot of places

Reading this book has to be done in an open-minded way. When I read this book, all I can think about is how I can relate to Abby's fear to fall in love with Travis. He's like a tornado coming your way and swept you away. But once he falls for you, and you for him, you're gonna find yourself in a roller coaster ride. He's a complex character. For those who are sensitive of violent words and behaviour, this may be too much to read. But for me, their love is interesting to read and it's like you're experiencing the raging energy of a young and jealous but very strong love with Travis and Abby.
