I have always been fascinated by why some people reach their potential and others don't. Everyone surely wants to. So what is the difference? I really enjoyed this book which addresses this question head on. Carol S. Dweck is a Stanford University psychologist who has spent decades of research on achievement and success. In the end the differing factor for her came down to the concept of mindset.

Dr. Carol S. Dweck introduced the concepts of fixed mindset and growth mindset. She explained the comparison of these two types of mindset in the fields of sports, business and leadership, human relations, parents, teachers and coaches. Comparisons are explained in the form of real case examples and the results of various studies.

In the last section, it is explained the stages of changing a fixed mindset into a growth mindset. This change requires efforts to achieve and maintain it. A book that open up thinking about the way people think. No wonder this book is one of the books recommended by Bill Gates.

Applicable for everyone!
