Description

Punk rock meets fine art on the mean streets of Treasure Town

Orphaned on the mean streets of Treasure Town, lost boys Black and White must mug, steal and fight to survive. Around them moves a world of corruption and loneliness, small-time crooks and neurotic police officers, and a band of sadistic yakuza who have plans for their once-fair city. Can they rise above their environment? Surreal manga influenced by European comics.

Pretty Book
By: Eva S

One word for this book: Pretty!

I really like the cover, a lot, when i saw it in a friend's timeline. Of course, more to like when I spot Eisner Award Logo. I don't expect much though after reading the synopsis.. but I always like something new.. so why not. And feeling the book physically, I don't regret it. It has very nice cover inside with pretty dust cover which also has more illustration on inside (can make it as poster).

About the story, I would say it's good, not great.. just good. I myself can relate about this talent of Black and White has.. but I don't feel it's quite deep.. you can't be in balance if you want... See More

something great.. the story must be dark or angelic, you can't be stand in the middle. This story is trying to be in the middle. Well, it doesn't move my heart.

For the art, I like it eventhough I still don't really get it. It said to have influenced of French art style? which I don't really understand yet. But I feel the art is cheerful and happy.
