It was so good and I'm just absolutely reeling from that ending

What a Twist
By: Sandrine Jezabel Biagiotti

The second book is awesome. And to me this one is better than the first one. I don't really like the character of the female lead though actually but the magic that surround them was awesome. Especially the twist!!

Thin but appealing
By: Tania Anggastini

I know many doesn't enjoy Crown of Midnight because of its romance but I'm a big fan of Chaol, and this book has many scenes of Chaol than the others (excluding tower of Dawn of course). More secrets are revealed and Celaena's assassination skill is even more pronounced.

not better than the first book
By: Angeli Verdiansin

Crown of Midnight makes a very interesting reading material but is dull compared to the first book. the romance-drama took most of it and makes it quite boring. however it has some good parts as more mysteries and secrets are revealed. not as magical as its predecessor but still worth reading. the ending was such a cliff hanger and makes me eager to read the third book

One of the Best book I've ever read
By: Kenny Marpow

This is where the fun begins. And the fears. And the tears. And the screamings. This book is such a roller coaster of emotions, I haven't felt so amazed in my life before.

The book starts after the end of the first book, which is the mediocre Throne of Glass. It tells the story of how Celaena is working for the King as his personal assassin. Right at the start, readers are pulled into action as Celaena sneaks inside a target's house and shows the readers how ruthless she could be. But there's a nice little surprise that would make readers love the character and question everything that has happened. And it's only at the first couple... See More

chapters.

Crown of Midnight is so full of surprises and intrigues and plot twists that you won't be handle all the mind blowing, but not too much that it left you wanting for more instead of feeling sick of it. Like how a burger is so big it made you full, but it's so delicious you can't stop eating. Seriously, I have to stop reading a few times, just to process what happened. Not only that, the actions are SO much better than in the first book, with amazing descriptions and chilling moments, it will make your skin crawl with excitement. Readers can actually feel the writer, Sarah J. Maas' improvements in her methods of telling a story and describing an event that you can actually feel the characters came to life and the events playing in your head. Have I mentioned about the action?

Not only we get more closure about Celaena's character and what she stood for, we also got some very nice side character developments. In the first book, the side characters are just, there, existing, looking good and stuff, basically a breathing decoration. But in the glorious Crown of Midnight, the side characters are given so much development from last time that we could actually symphatize and feel they are a real person with their own personalities, flaws and problems.

I'm not gonna talk about the romance in this novel, not because it's bad, but because it's something that is best explored without knowing a single thing about it. Just trust me, it's good.

Overall, the Crown of Midnight is a significant improvement from the last book. The story, the action, the characters, the twists, everything about this book is infinitely better than the last one. And the revelation at the end of the book just took the series into a whole new level of world building.
