Solomon, coming midway between Abraham and Christ, advanced to some extent the development of the missionary covenant. During his reign, many of the heathen races were brought under Jewish rule and inﬂuence, and he built the mighty temple, which was a symbol and visible protest, and a proof to all of the unity and power of Jehovah.
