Fave novel
By: Dyah Ayu Orchita

I know that Eleanor & Park is everybody's fave novel of Rainbow Rowell.

But for me personally is this one. Landline.

The characters feel real. Their interactions, the conversations, situations, all feels real. The main characters are not the popular, handsome/beautiful kind of type.

Neal is an uber-nice, shy guy who chose to be a home-dad so Georgie can pursue her career as a TV creator. Georgie pursues her career alright because of the great support of her husband, and also because she has a great work partner, Seth. But sometimes, great career doesn't really align with great relationship. Georgie has to spend her... See More

Christmas away from her kids after Neal decides to continue his and their kids' holiday plan without Georgie, who gotta work along with Seth, who *ahem* Neal dislikes - and the feeling is mutual for Seth.

Then in her hard time, Georgie found out that the landline at her Mom's house might be (or it is!) magical. When he tried to reach Neal the husband to his Mom's landline, she is connected to Neal the boyfriend 14 years ago instead, just right before he proposed to her.

What should Georgie do when she realizes how much she could change the past? Would she stop Neal to propose to her because she knows now that this - the marriage - is not something Neal would want?

So Achingly Beautiful
By: Aldilla Yasmin Inas

I really liked the story. It's so beautifully written. Rainbow has this thing in her writing that always makes me feel longing and aching deep inside, but also manages to stir and flutter my stomach as well (in an unbelievably good way). I liked how everything goes, from the 'magic phone' thing, her husband, especially her husband, and how the story unfolds in the end. I really loved the romance between the two of them and how each of them can't seem to function without the other. I also liked the occasional flashbacks and how it would fit the story so effortlessly.  I loved every passing letters I've gone through in this book.... See More

Every moment made my heart ache and longs for something that's nonexistent (my husband. what?). I could relate to Georgie even though she's way older than me fictionally. I understood her obsession and love for Neal because if I was faced with the same kind of person/guy, I probably would've fallen for him too. In all, I can say that I enjoyed this book very much and I'd love to tell the world to read it just so they can feel the pain and joy I felt when I was reading it. Everything about it is just heartwarming, aching, yet beautiful at the same time. This book is going to be one of those books that I'm gonna reread over and over again and yet I would never get bored and sick of it.
