As Micala looked back at the littered path her life had taken ... the false starts, the dead ends, the loss of loved ones, the betrayals ... they seemed to pale in comparison to the challenge facing her now. Many people do it with ease; for her it was a totally new concept ... living a normal life. It certainly wouldn't come naturally for her ... just how hard would it be ... and could she succeed? What few successes she had in life to that point had been born out of an obsession to achieve something ... anything that she could call her own. Her failures ... now well documented and brought to the light of day by her psychiatrist ... seemed to her to far outweigh any success.
