Description

Book two in the blockbuster Maze Runner series that spawned a movie franchise and ushered in a worldwide phenomenon This special movie tie-in trade paperback edition features a foreword by Wes Ball, the director of the movie, an eight-page full-color insert with photos from the film and an exclusive fan sticker. And don't miss The Fever Code, the highly-anticipated series conclusion that finally reveals the story of how the maze was built

Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn't done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Scorch.
The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch--the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.
There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers' destruction--and they're determined to survive.
Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.

The Maze Runner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and Maze Runner: The Death Cure are all now major motion pictures featuring the star of MTV's Teen Wolf, Dylan O'Brien; Kaya Scodelario; Aml Ameen; Will Poulter; and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

love the book, love the story

This is the first book I read from the series, but I already watched all the movies. Mind you, my review would focus only on this book compared to its movie, without its relation to other two books.     I like the book version rather than the movie. It offers more detail and comprehensive scenes. I can feel the tension better imagining what Tom and his friends have to go through and the side effects of their experiences while the movie provide merely actions that maybe the creators hopeful to make it enjoyable to watch. Well it's not. At least not to me.

Well, first thing first. I prefer the Book One than this. This is good, but I didn't feel an excitements like I felt in The Maze Runner. It was confusing me, Thomas with his confusions, Teresa with her odd-betrayal-thing,... See More

that I don't really understand. Thomas was thinking about Teresa all the time, and all of sudden Thomas felt nothing for Teresa. Thomas with Brenda, it makes no sense for me. I mean, I didn't important. I need the truth and the ending. But, what's the fun in that? hahaha But, the good thing is, the book makes you curious about what would happened next. And also the Scorch, I felt it very hot and extremely dangerous (I don't even want to imagine I'd lived there, hahaha). Whoaaa.. And don't forget about the lightning. That one is friggin' scary. Well, you can't ever forget about Minho, oh..God! I like him so much.

The Scorch Trials
By: Agustinus Tri Nugroho

It's not only a novel about action! This imaginative-dystopia novel is INDEED O-N-T-O-L-O-G-I-C-A-L!!!

This sequel absoluterly would surprise all of the readers (and surely the viewers). In the first sequel before, the readers are situated to imagine the dystopia world outside the "Maze". You'll be amazed by what James Dashner did for combining the dystopia and utopia genre in a whole book.

After escaping from the maze, Thomas and friends assume that they will be freed by starting a new episode of life. But, the freedom isn't as charming as they wish. In this "new freedom", they find another "bigger maze" to escape.... See More

It's not only an action reader, but horror and romantic are mingling in one.

For critical and serious reader, the author doesn't only deliver the message about the next world after the sophisticated technologies threaten the human being. You will find how important to be suspicious one to face the world's challenges.

Some new characters strengthen the concept of the "new 'MAZE' runner". A maze isn't only many clueless walls or deadlock paths. A maze is about how we survive by seeing and going beyond. Maybe, seeing is grasping the reality behind (or beyond).
