Description

From National Book Award finalist Laini Taylor comes an epic fantasy about a mythic lost city and its dark past.

The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around--and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was just five years old, he's been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the form of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance or lose his dream forever.

What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? And who is the blue-skinned goddess who appears in Lazlo's dreams?

In this sweeping and breathtaking novel by National Book Award finalist Laini Taylor, author of the New York Times bestselling Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, the shadow of the past is as real as the ghosts who haunt the citadel of murdered gods. Fall into a mythical world of dread and wonder, moths and nightmares, love and carnage.

The answers await in Weep.

A new kind of fairytale
By: Stella Wenny

If you are looking for a long and detailed fairy tale filled with dark and strong characters, magical world-building, long back story, this book is for you. If you prefer something more fast forward, with many twists and turns, maybe this isn't really for you.

This book is magical!
By: Erhi Divina

it wasn't even a question. She felt safer here than she ever had anywhere. And anyway, she asked herself, what real risk was there? It's just a dream, she answered, though of course it was so much more. She looked up at Lazlo, bit her lip and let it go, and said, "All... See More

right."-Strange the Dreamer, Laini Taylor

absolutely a beautiful insideout book
By: Brenda Waworga

I Love the whole story woven, love the world building, love the characters (esp Lazlo cause he is so adorable and relatable for all the bookworms) and even "the villain(s)" here stand in the grey area like you hate them but their backgroundstories make you understand their actions... the messages through this book like to love unconditionally, to being generous to help one and another, to sacrifice for people we love ect ect arghhhh and of course love the writing style, so beautiful and gripping!  I wish every fantasy reader will read this book! Cause clearly y'all miss something if you havent read this book! Seriously
