What's interesting about the relationship story of a woman and a man in their platinum age? The mystery of who the real liar is. Who's he? What was his past like? The story in the present, with Roy in his 80s is interspersed with Roy's story in his 60s, 40s, 30s, 20s, to his teens. There are some differences between the storylines in the film compared to the novel. Understandably, the film requires a plot that is easy to understand and can be described in about 120 minutes. I like the novel version more than the film version.
