Pretty Good for A Formula
By: Ariella Nikita Layono

This book is like a love child between The Fault In Our Stars, Eleanor and Park, and Looking for Alaska. An exhilarating and heart-wrenching love story between Violet and Finch, a girl who learns to live from a boy who learns to die. It has the same young adult contemporary romance formula as many books. Girl and boy meet, becomes the most unlikely of friends, makes a pact to not fall in love, does it anyways, their parents disapprove of their relationship, something tragic happens. However, this book is somehow different. It's clever, poetic, and beautifully written.

Awesome book!
By: Winoko Christofel

Such a heartbreaking story with a heartwarming ending. I read this book not knowing what this book is all about. I love that kind of book that have multiple POV. I really like to know what's going on Finch's mind and Violet's mind. I learn so much from this book. To learn to live from people who wants to die. One of my favorite book.

Heart-breaking story
By: Ailin Easterina

This is one heart-breaking story. You can really feel it when Finch in his manic and depressive state. The books is probably good for young people to understand more about mental health since this issue has always been a bit taboo in Indonesian culture... as in embarassment to family.

But I have to be honest... the story is a bit boring in the last part.

Inspiring, Yet Depressing Book
By: Sekarlangit Umastuti

This book gives me a new persepective of life. It is about two characters with each one of them share different fate. Theodore Finch struggles from being outcasted by his own parents, while Violet Markey cannot bear bereavement feeling of her late sister. But the struggle that FInch carries open up my eyes. When we have such amazing life, there are some people who are struggling. It is an eye-opening how Finch cannot bear the pain and loneliness he feels, but sometimes we found ourselves have made it. It is different with Finch. He is fragile. He is in trouble. His sun was Violet. And when everything goes oppositely, Finch loses himself. It is a tear-jerking book. You would cry a lot after reading it.
