Description

The first book in Lauren Oliver's New York Times bestselling trilogy about forbidden love, revolution, and the power to choose.

In an alternate United States, love has been declared a dangerous disease, and the government forces everyone who reaches eighteen to have a procedure called the Cure. Living with her aunt, uncle, and cousins in Portland, Maine, Lena Haloway is very much looking forward to being cured and living a safe, predictable life. She watched love destroy her mother and isn't about to make the same mistake.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena meets enigmatic Alex, a boy from the Wilds who lives under the government's radar. What will happen if they do the unthinkable and fall in love?

Unique Dystopian Book
By: Leanita Winandari

Delirum has unique story and idea. It's about the world where people believe that love is disease. But unlike other dystopian books, Delirium has a slow pace in the beginning until middle. I still can enjoy it, though somehow it makes me want to giveup. Fortunately, the rest of this book is more interesting.

It's written beautifully, indeed. But I can't stop comparing Lauren Oliver's writing in this book with her previous book, Before I Fall, that i love so much.

Such a unique dystopian love story. A little slow-paced, but still very enjoyable.

i adored this book from when i first read it. i have read many dystopian books such as divergent, the hunger games, and it had made it to my favorite genre. delirium is definitely on my list of favorites. although delirium is a dystopian novel, it is first and foremost a love story. a great book overall.
