Told from an unusual point of view, "The Book Thief" follows a long story of Liesel Meminger life. Just like any other books set in times of Nazi occupation in Germany, the story in "The Book Thief" is full of sorrow (but still hopeful at times). For some unknown reasons, this book reminds me of Anthony Doerr's "All The Light We Cannot See", but with a more melancholy tone to the story. If you looking for a sombre fiction narrate by unusual narrator like death, I think this book is for you.
