I can't help but this book reminds me of my high school life--and that's not only the good things. Speak takcles though subjects: rape and (unaware) Emotional Neglect. I love how Laurie Halse write down Melinda character--how she finally finds her way to speak up about what happened in the summer party, and else. Like most teenagers, Melinda finds it's hard to speak up the truths--because part of her knows that no one will believe her. Not to mention that she also blames herself about what happened to her.
I highly recommend this book for teenagers...
