John Carreyrou presented Theranos, a startup company in Silicon Valley that is engaged in medical diagnostic instruments. Sources came from interviews with former employees, excerpts from e-mails, documents and records of legal proceedings.
The background of Elizabeth Holmes, CEO of Theranos is discussed in depth. A young woman who since childhood have had the determination to become billionaires. Smart, beautiful, charming, ambitious, a Steve Jobs wannabe, has a high ability in negotiation, and other characteristics that a CEO needs.

CEO, Theranos is indeed promising. Several influential and well-known individuals have been on Theranos' board of directors. The employees recruited are also people who are experts in their fields. Much like the persons Steve Jobs recruited for Apple and Elon Musk for Space-X and Tesla. People who are competent in their fields enter and then leave Theranos. There are those who resign because they were disappointed by the fact they have encountered in Theranos, some were fired because of a dispute with Elizabeth Holmes or the Theranos’ number-two executive, and many just suddenly disappear. Unexpectedly, Theranos lied and carried out unethical practices. It's amazing that this start-up company can attract and convince venture capitalists and important people in politics and government.
I salute Mr. John Carreyrou and his sources in telling the truth to protect patients from life-threatening misdiagnosis, despite threats from the Theranos who are protected and defended by influential people in the United States.
