Before reading this book, I thought that civil and uncivil were a matter of good and bad nature of someone and in a world that prioritizes financial gain these civil and uncivil problems are considered a common phenomenon and does not need to be disputed. Christine Porath broke my thoughts. In this book she outlines structured research results that show that civility is something that is important to be strived to become a culture in every organization and will bring good for individuals and organizations.
The author describes the cost of incivility, the gain of civility, ways to improve self-civility, civility cycle in the organization, and ways to deal with incivility if we become targets.
