I will say this again and again, Jim Kay's magical and detailed illustrations paired with J. K. Rowling's story make a wonderful work of art that you won't ever get bored of enjoying.

There are many great things about the book and I believe many of the readers already know them but one thing that really amazing is that the illustration of Diagon Alley from the Philosopher's Stone was a part of the bigger image. The next series is in this very book and JIM KAY is awesome.
The quality is SUPERB!
Okay, first this book is very very well made. It's sturdy and many aspects are are wonderfully done. I have to admit I haven't read this illustrated edition but as I've read the book many times over, I could say it brings the story to life. I've opened all the pages and still so impressed every time I open the book over again.
I absolutely adore illustrasted books. And this book.. this book was MAGICALLY AMAZING. I love Jim Kay's work. Kay's work in my opinion, represent J.K. Rowling's original vision better than any work since the original books.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets had always been my least favorite book from the series. Maybe it was too dark for the second-grader-me so as i grew up, I didn’t re-read it as much as the other titles. But I must admit that Jim Kay’s illustrations had big impact for me to re-read it from the first page to the last (i usually stopped at the Chamber of Secrets chapter). They are so beautiful, I can’t stop staring and can’t wait to open the next page to see more of them! Definitely a must-buy for Harry Potter series collector, you would get a whole new experience when you read it.
