This book is such a short read but it will open your eyes to the daily sexism that women experiences. I like the author’s observation that marginalized people are so obsessed with their own disadvantages that they are blind to the plight of one another.

This is not the book people you’d be reading if looking for a detailed action plan. But it does offer a long term solution; we should teach boys less about masculinity and allow girls to be daring. This is what all parents of newborn should do.

this should be a required reading for everyone, i want to buy a bunch of these and pass 'em to my family, friends and even strangers! a short (50 page-ish!) and sharp essay about feminism and why it's so important for all of us, women and men. Adichie summarizes it amazingly.
