I really enjoyed the supernatural elements present in this book, and the modern underplaying and unique twist on classic Christian mythology. Ig Perrish grows horns. Quite literally. Why? Because Ig Perrish has been tried and convicted for the rape and murder of his longtime girlfriend--not in the courtof law, but in the court of public opinion.

Ig is very relatable. When he assumed the horns were associated with a brain tumor and that actually made his day better... I understood why he felt that. - Even Lee, a bit  not-right-in-the-head Lee, he had my sympathy as well. I will admit Merrin's intentions were predictable no matter how noble.

Tbh this isn’t a ghost story, this is really a detective thriller—with us following Ig and guessing what really happen between Lee, Ig, and Merrin.
