I have to admit this is the worst (in my opinion) book in the series. It's just predictable and lost its sparks that enrich the first book. It's just basically about Nick;s and Rachel's preparation to their wedding. I just wish Kevin Kwan shift his focus on another's character in books after Crazy Rich Asians, I mean what else to explore about Nick's and Rachel's relationship anyway, we all know they will still end up together eventually, the clues are there in the end of the first book (Crazy Rich Asians)
This book introduces Rachel's biologic father, but it never quite pans out.
How the character have changed; rachel's character is bland and really has no voice or complexity at all in this book. Astrid's developing relationship with Charlie and Michael was sadly predictable.
The plot itself is engaging, because gthe stakes are even higher
I hoped the third one will bruing the series to a good end
The second book isn't as thrilling as first one. But, it's still worth because... It's about Charlie and Astrid
I do like reading a story about riches who spent their money like they blink an eye. So easy! And this book gave it all to me. Love this one!
