How to order

It is really easy to order through our website.   Simply click the "Add to Cart" button to add your items to the shopping cart.   You can CHANGE the quantity while browsing the item page and before adding it to the shopping cart or you may EDIT the item’s quantity later in the shopping cart page.

Add as many items as you want and then click on the Shopping Cart icon to begin the checkout process.

The option will be shown to check out the items as “Registered User” OR “Guest Customer”.   We are encouraging you to register and create an account to make future purchase faster and be capable to keep track of your current and previous orders.

Log-in or continue as Guest user, then you will be required to fill-up and confirm some shipping information before proceeding to the payment process.

Why are there varying prices for the same item (especially books and magazines)?

Periplus.com offers different editions of the same item (especially books and magazines). There are hardcover and paperback edition, UK and USA editions, etc.   These different editions may have different prices and specifications although the item is the same.

How much are the delivery charges?

Delivery charges depend on your location and shipping partner choice you selected during the checkout process.   We also offer FREE SHIPPING to customers in the Greater Jakarta and Greater Bandung areas with minimum Rp 200,000 total purchase.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Some items that we offer are with ready stocks and available locally, while others need to be imported.   Delivery to locations in Jakarta is faster than delivery outside of Jakarta.   The estimated delivery times are:

  • 3 - 7 business days for ready stocks and locally-available items
  • 12 - 20 business days for imported items

Our business days are Monday to Friday exclude holiday.

What payment options do you have?

We accept Credit Card payment using Visa or Master card (Visa or Master logo on it) and we also accept payment through online debit such as:

  • CIMB Niaga where you have registered for the CIMB Clicks payment
  • Mandiri Bank where your account has been registered for the Mandiri Clickpay payment
  • BCA Bank where your account has been registered for BCA KlikPay payment

 

Note:   For payment method mentioned above, there's no need to accomplish our Payment Confirmation requirements.

Aside from above payment method, we also accept Bank Transfer payment.   This Bank Transfer payment method is using conventional payment thru ATM or Bank online services, the payment made will be Cash debited in our registered account.

Note:   With Bank Transfer payment method, you needed to confirm the payment thru our  Payment Confirmation  page and fill-up the form with the following information:

  • Your order number – the order ID we created for each of your transactions
  • Source bank – names such as BCA, Mandiri, Niaga, Danamon, etc. where you make the payment
  • Source bank account – your bank account number (the 10-16 account number for your account) or you may just fill up with "CASH" if you pay CASH into our registered account
  • Source account name – your bank account name or if you pay CASH please fill the payer name
  • Receipt number – if you transfer payment from an ATM, usually the number on the top of the ATM receipt (sequential number)
  • Transfer date – date of transferring the payment
  • Amount Transfer – transaction Amount including all shipping fee

Is it secure to pay online?

Yes. When you pay online you are redirected to a secure Bank Gateway System.   All information entered in the gateway page is directly recorded by the bank or payment provider (Mastercard/VISA). No confidential credit card information is recorded or stored in our own system.

How do I know my order has been confirmed?

Once your payment has been confirmed and validated, your order will be processed immediately.   We will send you a confirmation email thru the email address you supplied during your registration or email address you provided as “Guest Customer”.

In the email, the information is provided like your unique Order Token for "Guest Customer", the list of items ordered and the expected time of delivery.

What happens if an item in my order became out of stock?

Certain items in your order may not yet be published or became out of stock from the publisher at the time we are processing your order.   In this case, you will be receiving an email notifying you of a delay in that item.

If you have other items in your order, they will be shipped as scheduled.   We will continue trying to fulfill your order as soon as possible.

If the order is still out of stock 14 days after the order date, you will be asked to approve an extension.   If you do not agree with the extension, this part of your order will be canceled within 24 hours.   You may cancel a postponed order at any time.

If you have a pre-ordered item, which still not available at the time of the announced release date, you will be notified and asked to approve an extension.   If you do not agree with the extension, this part of your order will be canceled within 24 hours.

When will your order be processed?

Your order will be processed after your payment has been made, but for the bank transfer payment, we will process your order after confirmation of your payment and verification has been done.

Orders will be processed the same day if payment has been made before 3 pm (Jakarta time). If Payment done after 3 pm (Jakarta time), orders will consider in next day order process.

When and how can I cancel an order?

In principle, you cannot cancel your order after it was placed and especially when the item was already scheduled to ship.   Below are some instances that you might not be able to cancel your items:

  • Items with ready stocks and the status is already for shipping within 3 – 7 business days
  • Items which ready for dispatch within 12 – 20 business days and the status is already Processing

 

But in any case you wanted to cancel your order; you needed to contact our Customer Service Support by phone or by sending us an email through our   Contact Us   form (complete the information needed and state the detail reason why you wanted to cancel your order).

We will send you a confirmation email to give details whether the order can be CANCELLED or NOT.

How can I track the status of my order?

You can track the status of your order by checking through your  Order History  page using the tracking reference stated in our confirmation email.

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouse. We ensure the package is secure enough to avoid any damage.   Please inform us immediately and send a photograph of the item and the outer packaging if you receive it damaged.   We will process a claim with the shipping company.

Can I return the item?

You may return the item only under certain conditions. Please check our  Return Policy  page for more details on conditions before returning the item.

You may also ask our customer service support on how the return process will be and if you are allowed to return the item, go to our item   Returns  form and fill-up all necessary information.

Does Periplus.com deliver outside of Indonesia?

Periplus.com does not deliver items outside of Indonesia, but you are welcome to purchase as long as the delivery address is within Indonesia.

How to get Periplus e-Voucher?

The Periplus e-Voucher can be earned from different sources:

  • Promo items that you purchased from Periplus.com with an e-Voucher icon in it.   This e-Voucher will be sent to you after your purchasing is being paid and confirmed by us
  • You can also receive Periplus e-Voucher if you are chosen as the winner from our promo events and entitled to receive Periplus e-Voucher

How to use Periplus e-Voucher?

To use e-Voucher, you have to Sign In first. If you are not already a member, please register here.

Our Periplus e-Voucher has certain periods of validation, which stated in the voucher and can be used only for your next purchase.   Fill in your e-Voucher code in the field provided in our last page of the checkout process.   This field will disappear automatically from the check out page if you have no more valid voucher or if you have PEC Birthday discount.   Each transaction can only use one (1) e-Voucher code.
